The CZ 457 series introduces several notable enhancements. These include a right-side safety with forward-to-fire operation, a cocking indicator, a dedicated bolt-release control, and the ability to cycle and remove the bolt while the safety remains engaged. It also features a redesigned adjustable trigger system, a lighter firing mechanism, updated bedding for improved stability, refined ergonomics, a highly durable corrosion-resistant finish on metal components, and a shorter bolt lift for smoother operation. The CZ 457 Royal model is fitted with an extended stock crafted from high-grade walnut, highlighted by ornamental detailing at the fore-end. An oil finish enhances the natural character and figure of the wood. Its styling draws inspiration from classic Commonwealth sporting rifle designs, incorporating a straight comb, rounded cheekpiece, slender fore-end, and sling swivel studs suited for a Safari-style carry strap. The rifle is equipped with a 525 mm lightweight hunting barrel without open sights.
