1937 Izhevsk Mosin Nagant, Finnish Capture
Chambered in 7.62x54R
All Matching
Finnish SA stamp
During the beginning of WW2, Germany and Russia had an agreement to not attack eachother, which was eventually broken by Germany (Operation Barbarossa) drawing the soviet union into the war.
In 1939 the soviet union invaded Finland in a push to increase its borders, which would become known as The Winter War. This rifle is likely from that conflict given its year of manufacture, its russian origin, and its finnish capture stamps.
